Yacht Adventures, Skipper Training & Boat Charters in Sweden

Your Sweden yacht moment starts here!

Sweden's coastline unfolds into one of the world's largest archipelagos — more than 30,000 islands and skerries scattered across the Stockholm and Gothenburg waters alone. Thanks to allemansrätten, Sweden's ancient right to roam, sailors can anchor almost anywhere and step ashore freely, discovering red wooden cottages, pine forests, and smooth granite rocks warmed by the sun. Summer brings endlessly long days, with sunsets that seem to last for hours. Calm, tideless water and a genuine sense of freedom make Sweden one of Northern Europe's most rewarding places to sail.

Yacht Charter in Sweden

Chartering a yacht in Sweden means sailing one of the world’s largest and most freely accessible archipelagos, with well-equipped marinas around Stockholm and Gothenburg. Choose independent bareboat sailing with a valid license, a fully skippered charter for a relaxed trip through the skerries, comfortable catamarans for families and groups, or fast motor yachts for covering more islands in a day. With calm, tideless water and near-endless daylight in summer, even a short charter feels expansive. Whatever your experience level, we’ll help you find the right boat for your Swedish adventure.

Skipper Trainings in Sweden

Sweden’s calm, tideless waters and sheltered skerries make it a genuinely forgiving place to learn to sail. Our skipper courses follow ISSA standards, leading to an internationally recognized license valid for life. Protected channels close to Stockholm are ideal for beginners building basic boat handling skills, while more open water toward the outer archipelago offers dynamic conditions for progressing sailors. Training combines online theory with hands-on practice at sea, individually or in small groups, on sailing yachts, catamarans, or motor yachts — with fika and a warm sauna waiting after each day on the water.

Regions of Sweden

Sweden offers sailing with a distinct character between its two great archipelagos. The Stockholm archipelago, the larger of the two, spreads across roughly 30,000 islands, ranging from busy inner islands near the capital to wild, nearly uninhabited outer skerries. The Gothenburg archipelago, on the west coast, brings a slightly wilder, more open feel with strong ties to fishing traditions. Every region has its own rhythm, and we’ll help you choose the route that fits your trip.

Gothenburg

Bohuslan archipelago, Nordic granite islands
Gothenburg is Sweden's sailing capital and the gateway to the Bohuslan archipelago — a breathtaking landscape of smooth granite islands, skerries, and hidden channels stretching north along the Swedish west coast. Sailing here means navigating between thousands of rocky islets, anchoring in natural harbours polished by glaciers, and experiencing the unique Nordic light of long summer evenings. The region is ideal for experienced sailors who enjoy pilotage sailing in complex island environments.

Orust

Swedish boatbuilding island, Bohuslan archipelago
Orust is Sweden's largest west coast island and the country's boatbuilding capital — a legendary sailing destination in the Bohuslan archipelago north of Gothenburg. The island's sheltered channels, smooth granite skerries, and traditional wooden boat culture make it the heart of Swedish sailing heritage. Marstrands fortress island nearby is the venue for Sweden's biggest regattas. Orust suits experienced sailors who enjoy intricate pilotage through rocky archipelago channels in the unique Nordic light of long Scandinavian summer evenings.

Östergötland

Gota Canal, Sweden's great waterway journey
Ostergotland is home to the Gota Canal — one of Europe's great waterway journeys, linking Sweden's west coast (Gothenburg) to the east coast (Stockholm) through a 190km route of lakes, rivers, and 58 locks cutting through the Swedish heartland. Canal boat and sailing cruising here passes through Lake Vattern (Sweden's second largest lake), the medieval city of Linkoping, and extraordinary inland Swedish landscapes. A uniquely peaceful and historically rich alternative to coastal sailing, combining engineering heritage with the beauty of Swedish nature.

Why Sailors Love Sweden

Real stories from guests who explored Sweden with us — endless islands, midnight sun, real freedom on the water.

I completed the Inshore Skipper course. I want to say a few words about how the information is presented—it’s a whole story filled with a great mood and team spirit. With the Let’s Boat brothers, the sailing knowledge and tools are delivered exactly as they should be: complex topics are broken down into systems, becoming manageable and understandable. You can always ask a “silly” question and get an encouraging answer. The learning process becomes painless and engaging—just the way you’d want it to be. And then there are those fun sailor stories, which give you so much understanding. Plus the amazing photos from seas and oceans, bays, and azure waters… even they helped me get through the first challenges of handling a yacht or reading the weather. I’m very happy with this course.

I took the Inshore Skipper theoretical course with the Let’s Boat team. I really appreciated that it wasn’t just dry lectures and facts, but presentations, explanations, and lively discussions. What was especially valuable is that our instructors aren’t abstract theorists—they are practicing skippers who can share not only the essential knowledge but also practical tips and real-life experiences. For me personally, this course was the first step toward my dream of obtaining a skipper license. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to start sailing in their life and stay connected with it for a long time.

An incredible experience and unforgettable impressions from sailing yachts. For me, it had always seemed distant, dangerous, overly romantic, and almost unreal. But it turned out to be very real. With the Let‘s Boat team, everything was comfortable, well thought-out, organized, interesting, and dynamic. I really loved that all the guests came together as a single team. I was worried about that—so many strangers on the same boat. But it was amazing. Different ages, different interests… yet the sea, the sails, and the organizers’ experience made everything perfect. I definitely want to do it again!

My journey began with a tour in Turkey in 2018. I repeated it in 2019, and by 2021, there was a whole flotilla. All of this led to a true love of yachting, yachts, and everything related to the sea. And by 2025, I completed my training with Let’s Boat. So far, only the theory, but I hope to start the practice soon.

A big thank you for this course! Everything is explained not just “from the textbook,” but with real enthusiasm! The lecturers are engaging, which makes it easier to understand and remember new information. Special thanks for the live videos from the yachts! I looked forward to every lecture, and the only thing that disappointed me was that the course ended 🙂

I’ve sailed twice with the Let’s Boat team, and both times it was an exciting adventure. The first time was a week on a catamaran, and the second time — two weeks on a sailing yacht. Stunning landscapes, a friendly crew, a well-thought-out route and activities, and no “scary” rocking at all, plus warm sea in November… And there were fascinating stories, excursions, colorful bays, towns, and villages. Not to mention the local markets with fresh products. I’m very grateful to the team for the idea and for making it happen.

I had the chance to go on an unforgettable yacht journey with my friends, the Biletskyi brothers. Actually, it was on the yacht that we became friends. It was a true discovery! Stunning landscapes, a sea adventure, and an incredible atmosphere made the trip special. The yacht was comfortable, and the trip was perfectly organized, allowing us to enjoy every moment on the water. Every moment was filled with joy and freedom, as we could not only admire the beautiful seascapes but also face all the adventures the journey brought together. If you haven’t sailed on a yacht or catamaran yet — it’s definitely worth trying with Let’s Boat.

Olha Dobrelya

In 2021, I went on my first yacht trip, and it was love at first step on board. Five days on the yacht, nights at anchor in secluded bays — it turned out to be the perfect vacation for me, as someone who loves the water, the sun, and having their phone somewhere out of hand. ))) From this trip, I brought back a perfect tan, tangled hair, a thousand photos and videos, and countless memories and emotions!

Svitlana Khachatryan

My trip with Let’s Boat still ranks among the best journeys of my life. I’m a workaholic, and on vacation it usually takes me a few days to switch off my mind, but a yacht does something magical: you step on board and enter another world that surrounds and absorbs you. And like never before, you start to truly feel what “here and now” means, that real sense of “being in the moment”. Special praise must go to the care of the organizers. Let’s Boat and the Biletskyi brothers — they are true enthusiasts of what they do.

Sergiy & Mariya Lapidus

Yachting with Let’s Boat is the most unforgettable vacation of our lives! I remember thinking it seemed like quite an adventure at first — going for a week with mostly strangers in such a small space… but that thought was completely wrong, and my gut was right: go for it, you won’t regret it 🤣 — and that’s exactly what happened! The yacht is a place of warmth, comfort, and heartfelt conversations, guitar songs shared in a close circle of like-minded people, while all around stretches the endless sea, incredible harbors with delicious food, and each town full of its own culture and history!

Olena Poplavska

This trip was truly a dream! Wonderful yachts, incredible scenery, and an amazing atmosphere — each day brought new discoveries and vivid emotions. The organization was top-notch: everything was thoughtful, convenient, and comfortable. I especially loved the friendly company and the chance to feel the real freedom of sailing life. The food was delicious, and the sea was simply breathtaking! This is an experience that will stay in my memory forever. And I definitely want to do it again, many times!

Yuliia Verbenko

Yachting is an adventure everyone should experience, so there’s something to remember on long evenings by the fireplace in old age. For me, our trip with the Biletskyi brothers was one of the brightest experiences in my rather unseasoned life. Freshly caught mussels, sun, sails, fantastic whelks in white wine, naps on the deck, and a little storm straight out of Jack London… singing — with a guitar and just for the joy of it, because the thrill is impossible to contain! You can’t tell it all. You just have to try it. Put your own adventure into your treasure chest of memories. I believe that Ukraine will prevail and restore yacht tourism, and we will sail again with the team under the sails.

Neshta Slava

Once, my wife, son, and I had what you could call a little adventure called yachting. “What’s that?” – you ask? It’s something you won’t understand until you try it. Try it once — and you’ll fall in love forever.❤️❤️ A big part of that was thanks to the Biletskyi brothers, who didn’t just love these seas and expanses — they lived and breathed them! Now, the memory of that journey connects us with the Brothers not only through friendship but also through shared volunteer work supporting our defenders. This trip became more than just a vacation for us. And if, after reading this, you don’t feel like dropping everything, packing your things, and heading off on an adventure with such a warm and friendly crew, then maybe you have neither conscience nor heart! ))

Lyolya Filimonova

My first sailing trip through Turkey with Let’s Boat was a true discovery. We sailed with family and fully enjoyed the process. Day by day, we explored incredible coves, swam in crystal-clear waters, watched the sunset right from the deck, and savored the local cuisine, culture, and history. Now my husband also wants to become a skipper, and he has a new dream. It’s amazing. Each day was a mix of adventure, calm, and happiness being on the water. Returning home, I realized I had fallen in love with yachting forever. To be continued…

A trip to the lighthouse on Gemiler Island 🛥🏝, night swimming with “sea fireflies” 🐳🦑🐠,
learning the bowline knot, pirate showdowns 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️, mastering anchoring ⚓️⚓️⚓️, and so much more ❤️❤️❤️.
After this journey, I fell in love with yachts, and my idea of the perfect vacation completely changed. Pavlo and Oleksii know how to create trips that are truly full of life.

FAQ

Yes, sailing without a skipper in Sweden requires a valid skipper’s license officially recognized in the country, such as a national license or an ISSA certificate. If you don’t have one yet, you can complete our ISSA training in advance.

The main sailing season runs from May to September, with June through August offering the warmest weather and longest daylight hours, including near-midnight sun in the north. Sweden’s sailing season is shorter than in the Mediterranean, so summer months get busy — book ahead if you’re planning a peak-season trip.

It depends on the specific tour. Typically included are the yacht itself, a charter pack (bed linen, towels, basic cleaning supplies), and standard equipment. Fuel, marina fees, food, and a skipper (if not already included) are usually paid separately — always check the details of your chosen tour.

With around 30,000 islands in the Stockholm archipelago alone, seeing everything in one trip isn’t realistic. Most guests focus on one section, moving between inner and outer islands, rather than trying to cover the whole archipelago at once.
