Yacht Adventures, Skipper Training & Boat Charters in France

Your France yacht moment starts here!

France is considered one of the most romantic places in the world, celebrated for its legendary rhythm of life, elegant language, rich architecture, and endless culinary inspiration. It draws those seeking to awaken and delight their senses. Its beautiful landscapes inspired great artists like Monet, Renoir, Matisse, and fueled the imagination of Jules Verne. Navigable rivers and canals, the contrasting Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts explored by Jacques-Yves Cousteau, who brought the ocean's wonders to millions — all this makes France a place where every voyage can become a powerful experience.

Here, coastlines, cities, and local flavors carry echoes of centuries of history, from ancient legends to modern icons of French culture. We create journeys where it’s not just about where you go, but how, with whom, and what stays with you afterward. Skipper Trainings in France

Our skipper school in France is designed to build confidence and real sailing skills, following ISSA standards toward an internationally recognized license valid for life. France offers two distinct training zones — the open Atlantic coast, where you’ll learn to read currents, wind, and tides, and the sheltered Mediterranean bays, ideal for beginners mastering the basics. Courses combine online theory with hands-on sailing on yachts, catamarans, or motor yachts, in small groups or individually. Training here comes with a bonus: local restaurants, fresh seafood, and Provençal cuisine after each day on the water.

Regions of France

France offers sailing far beyond a single coastline — from the wild cliffs of Normandy and Brittany, to the glamorous Mediterranean harbors of the Riviera and Corsica, all the way to the calm inland rivers and canals of the Loire Valley and Burgundy. Every region has its own rhythm, landscape, and cuisine, and yachting lets you move between them at your own pace. We’ll help you choose the region that matches the kind of journey you’re looking for.

Alsace

Rhine river cruising through wine country
A picturesque Rhine River region with charming wine villages and river cruising routes between France and Germany. Ideal for relaxed river charter tours and cultural boat trips through half-timbered towns, vineyards, and medieval castles. The Alsace canal system connects to a broader European waterway network, offering extended cruising possibilities toward the Netherlands or Switzerland.

Aquitaine

Bordeaux to Biarritz, river meets ocean
Atlantic France from Bordeaux to Biarritz — the Gironde Estuary, Arcachon Bay with Europe's tallest sand dune, and the open Atlantic coast. A growing charter region combining river cruising and ocean sailing, with Bordeaux wine culture at its heart. The region suits sailors looking for an alternative to the Mediterranean, offering genuine Atlantic sailing in a culturally rich corner of France.

Brittany

Wild Atlantic coast, granite islands
Brittany is a dramatic Atlantic peninsula in northwestern France, known for its wild rocky coastline, hundreds of offshore islands, and powerful tides. Sailing here means navigating intricate channels between granite headlands, discovering hidden anchorages, and experiencing a strong Celtic maritime culture. The region offers challenging offshore passages toward the Channel Islands or Bay of Biscay, as well as calmer coastal cruising along its southern shore.

Why Sailors Love France

Real stories from guests who explored France's coasts and canals with us — from Riviera glamour to quiet river journeys.

I completed the Inshore Skipper course. I want to say a few words about how the information is presented—it’s a whole story filled with a great mood and team spirit. With the Let’s Boat brothers, the sailing knowledge and tools are delivered exactly as they should be: complex topics are broken down into systems, becoming manageable and understandable. You can always ask a “silly” question and get an encouraging answer. The learning process becomes painless and engaging—just the way you’d want it to be. And then there are those fun sailor stories, which give you so much understanding. Plus the amazing photos from seas and oceans, bays, and azure waters… even they helped me get through the first challenges of handling a yacht or reading the weather. I’m very happy with this course.

I took the Inshore Skipper theoretical course with the Let’s Boat team. I really appreciated that it wasn’t just dry lectures and facts, but presentations, explanations, and lively discussions. What was especially valuable is that our instructors aren’t abstract theorists—they are practicing skippers who can share not only the essential knowledge but also practical tips and real-life experiences. For me personally, this course was the first step toward my dream of obtaining a skipper license. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to start sailing in their life and stay connected with it for a long time.

An incredible experience and unforgettable impressions from sailing yachts. For me, it had always seemed distant, dangerous, overly romantic, and almost unreal. But it turned out to be very real. With the Let‘s Boat team, everything was comfortable, well thought-out, organized, interesting, and dynamic. I really loved that all the guests came together as a single team. I was worried about that—so many strangers on the same boat. But it was amazing. Different ages, different interests… yet the sea, the sails, and the organizers’ experience made everything perfect. I definitely want to do it again!

My journey began with a tour in Turkey in 2018. I repeated it in 2019, and by 2021, there was a whole flotilla. All of this led to a true love of yachting, yachts, and everything related to the sea. And by 2025, I completed my training with Let’s Boat. So far, only the theory, but I hope to start the practice soon.

A big thank you for this course! Everything is explained not just “from the textbook,” but with real enthusiasm! The lecturers are engaging, which makes it easier to understand and remember new information. Special thanks for the live videos from the yachts! I looked forward to every lecture, and the only thing that disappointed me was that the course ended 🙂

I’ve sailed twice with the Let’s Boat team, and both times it was an exciting adventure. The first time was a week on a catamaran, and the second time — two weeks on a sailing yacht. Stunning landscapes, a friendly crew, a well-thought-out route and activities, and no “scary” rocking at all, plus warm sea in November… And there were fascinating stories, excursions, colorful bays, towns, and villages. Not to mention the local markets with fresh products. I’m very grateful to the team for the idea and for making it happen.

I had the chance to go on an unforgettable yacht journey with my friends, the Biletskyi brothers. Actually, it was on the yacht that we became friends. It was a true discovery! Stunning landscapes, a sea adventure, and an incredible atmosphere made the trip special. The yacht was comfortable, and the trip was perfectly organized, allowing us to enjoy every moment on the water. Every moment was filled with joy and freedom, as we could not only admire the beautiful seascapes but also face all the adventures the journey brought together. If you haven’t sailed on a yacht or catamaran yet — it’s definitely worth trying with Let’s Boat.

Olha Dobrelya

In 2021, I went on my first yacht trip, and it was love at first step on board. Five days on the yacht, nights at anchor in secluded bays — it turned out to be the perfect vacation for me, as someone who loves the water, the sun, and having their phone somewhere out of hand. ))) From this trip, I brought back a perfect tan, tangled hair, a thousand photos and videos, and countless memories and emotions!

Svitlana Khachatryan

My trip with Let’s Boat still ranks among the best journeys of my life. I’m a workaholic, and on vacation it usually takes me a few days to switch off my mind, but a yacht does something magical: you step on board and enter another world that surrounds and absorbs you. And like never before, you start to truly feel what “here and now” means, that real sense of “being in the moment”. Special praise must go to the care of the organizers. Let’s Boat and the Biletskyi brothers — they are true enthusiasts of what they do.

Sergiy & Mariya Lapidus

Yachting with Let’s Boat is the most unforgettable vacation of our lives! I remember thinking it seemed like quite an adventure at first — going for a week with mostly strangers in such a small space… but that thought was completely wrong, and my gut was right: go for it, you won’t regret it 🤣 — and that’s exactly what happened! The yacht is a place of warmth, comfort, and heartfelt conversations, guitar songs shared in a close circle of like-minded people, while all around stretches the endless sea, incredible harbors with delicious food, and each town full of its own culture and history!

Olena Poplavska

This trip was truly a dream! Wonderful yachts, incredible scenery, and an amazing atmosphere — each day brought new discoveries and vivid emotions. The organization was top-notch: everything was thoughtful, convenient, and comfortable. I especially loved the friendly company and the chance to feel the real freedom of sailing life. The food was delicious, and the sea was simply breathtaking! This is an experience that will stay in my memory forever. And I definitely want to do it again, many times!

Yuliia Verbenko

Yachting is an adventure everyone should experience, so there’s something to remember on long evenings by the fireplace in old age. For me, our trip with the Biletskyi brothers was one of the brightest experiences in my rather unseasoned life. Freshly caught mussels, sun, sails, fantastic whelks in white wine, naps on the deck, and a little storm straight out of Jack London… singing — with a guitar and just for the joy of it, because the thrill is impossible to contain! You can’t tell it all. You just have to try it. Put your own adventure into your treasure chest of memories. I believe that Ukraine will prevail and restore yacht tourism, and we will sail again with the team under the sails.

Neshta Slava

Once, my wife, son, and I had what you could call a little adventure called yachting. “What’s that?” – you ask? It’s something you won’t understand until you try it. Try it once — and you’ll fall in love forever.❤️❤️ A big part of that was thanks to the Biletskyi brothers, who didn’t just love these seas and expanses — they lived and breathed them! Now, the memory of that journey connects us with the Brothers not only through friendship but also through shared volunteer work supporting our defenders. This trip became more than just a vacation for us. And if, after reading this, you don’t feel like dropping everything, packing your things, and heading off on an adventure with such a warm and friendly crew, then maybe you have neither conscience nor heart! ))

Lyolya Filimonova

My first sailing trip through Turkey with Let’s Boat was a true discovery. We sailed with family and fully enjoyed the process. Day by day, we explored incredible coves, swam in crystal-clear waters, watched the sunset right from the deck, and savored the local cuisine, culture, and history. Now my husband also wants to become a skipper, and he has a new dream. It’s amazing. Each day was a mix of adventure, calm, and happiness being on the water. Returning home, I realized I had fallen in love with yachting forever. To be continued…

A trip to the lighthouse on Gemiler Island 🛥🏝, night swimming with “sea fireflies” 🐳🦑🐠,
learning the bowline knot, pirate showdowns 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️, mastering anchoring ⚓️⚓️⚓️, and so much more ❤️❤️❤️.
After this journey, I fell in love with yachts, and my idea of the perfect vacation completely changed. Pavlo and Oleksii know how to create trips that are truly full of life.

FAQ

Yes. To operate a yacht, catamaran, or motorboat independently, a recognized skipper’s license is required, such as a national license issued by certain countries or an ISSA certificate. If you do not have a skipper’s license, we can provide a professional skipper. Alternatively, you can complete the theoretical and practical training at our ISSA school and be fully prepared to operate a yacht on your own.

Usually, you do not need a skipper’s license to charter a canal boat in France. Before departure, you receive a short briefing on boat handling and safety, and some companies may ask you to pass a quick handling test. Thanks to this, self-drive canal cruising is accessible even for people without a skipper’s license.

The main season runs from May to September. The Mediterranean from June to September offers warm seas and gentle winds, though temperatures can be very high. The Atlantic coast is more dynamic, with stronger winds and tidal currents, where July and August are ideal for active sailing or adventure. Many sailors also enjoy visiting in April, May, October, and November, when the winds pick up and the weather becomes more varied, adding an extra sense of adventure to the journey.

France offers a wide fleet: sailing yachts for coastal cruising or longer passages; gulets in the Mediterranean with crew and fixed routes; catamarans and canal boats for stable, comfortable family trips; and motor yachts for fast, luxurious, fully crewed journeys. Most options are available with or without a skipper (without a skipper only for experienced, licensed sailors).
